Acquiring Competencies
Throughout the different projects, acquisition of many new skillsets and additional knowledge of a vast network of software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Cinemagraph Pro, and Adobe Illustrator, will help the advertising and marketing skills that are brought forward into the future advertising campaigns produced. The culmination of learning new forms of advertising, using what is trending today and pushing it into these projects not only increase the innovative thinking structures but also keeps the creative mind growing and evolving. What will be shown below is proof of acquiring new talents and knowledge while staying in-line with required project guidelines and design criteria.
Using these other forms of advertising called cinemagraphs, the projects were excelled in a more professional field. With this way of conducting projects, it creates a mindset for the industry that will increase competencies of designers with a never-ending thirst for knowledge and new techniques. The more software that a designer knows, the more techniques are melded together to create new ones, and the more knowledge a designer has will help increase acquisition of new forms of design. In an industry such as advertising staying trendy, adapting to new technology, and creating new forms of using all acquired information is key to success.

Working on cinemagraphs not only pushed skills in innovative thinking but it helped with acquiring new techniques in existing programs such as Adobe Photoshop as well as new skill sets in new software such as Cinemagraph Pro. Combining those two programs the challenge was set to learn how to create professional looking cinemagraphs with absolutely no prior knowledge of the workflow or process. Below is an example of the acquired skills using Adobe Photoshop. Throughout the process of researching how to create cinemagraphs, a combination of many different techniques were used to create a personal workflow. Extention of this workflow will be applied to Cinemagraph Pro to provide a wider range of tools.


The cinemagraph below shows the combined knowledge gained from using both Adobe Photoshop and Cinemagraph Pro to create another Rainy Day Toys advertisement. These cinemagraphs are not only becoming more widely used in professional advertising but there are ways they can be used that have not been done yet. There will be a way to implement these not only in digital media such as books or magazines on a tablet, computer, phone, or displayed on an advertising screen but also ways to get these to display on what normally would be non-digital advertising such as regular magazines. Of course, a technology would have to be made for the magazine to use very thin pages that are actually digital displays but combining the physical use of a magazine with the digital use of displays is just one idea where these can be used further than they are now.
The umbrella flying through the entire video, the text popping in the way it does following the umbrella, and the timing of the sound with the clips themselves had to be acquired knowledge to make this work. a lot of animation techniques inside of Adobe Premiere Pro were tried and tested to produce the clean flow of information.
